I've had a couple friends (thanks guys) send me this video with what appears to be an old lady using a cell phone in the background of a 1928 Charlie Chaplin film. Or as the poster suggests maybe it's a man in disguise (not that that would make a difference other than to address people's stereotypes of overweight old ladies not being time travelers).
Now there weren't cell satellites back then right? Unless the future went back and sent one up. Or maybe they have different technology in that old lady's time that doesn't require satellites and towers to use a cell phone. Who is she talking to? Another time traveler? Maybe it's come kind of communicator with the ship that is orbiting above? I don't know. What do you think?

I'm sold on this YouTube comment:
"
Isn't she saying something like, "Oh my god, they're not filming us are they!" and hiding her face in embarrassment? I've seen plenty of people adopt that pose with bent fingers.
"
Especially if she's actually a guy in drag.
Actually though, watching it again with that in mind, I'm convinced it's the case. When she turns to the camera, the black device gets a piece cut out of it. I.e., it's just a shadow.
Alas.
Walkie talkies weren't even invented for another 10 years.
At least we know it isn't an iPhone - holding it like would make it crash.
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go walk in front of some cameras doing something that doesn't make sense today, but in the distant future looks like I'm using a holo-projector.

Oo! Oo! Me too!
So the "debunk" is that she's camera shy? Ok, if she's hiding her face with her hand from one end of the frame to the other, why does she stop? And isn't it more natural for someone to look away and keep going? Also I wonder if someone her apperent age will know a camera when they see one. Wheren't they rare in the '20s? I think a better explination is that she could be a tourest wondering where to stroll to next, touching her temple, deep in thought. Or just shielding her eyes from the sun and wondering out loud where she parked her Delorean.
