At the...He would disappear when he skipped time.

At the end of every show someone would either go to Hell, or save their soul by making amends.

In this case, "the watchmaker", in order to avoid going to Hell, just skipped to the end of time. So he basically spent eternity in non-existence.Robert Vollmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08275044623767553681noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8540484915710987134.post-33536316479607387632010-02-26T08:35:23.328-08:002010-02-26T08:35:23.328-08:00http://www.thinkgeek.com/books/nonfiction/c9c1/?cp...http://www.thinkgeek.com/books/nonfiction/c9c1/?cpg=cj

Have you seen/heard/endorse this book?Rusty!https://www.blogger.com/profile/13338901591525301762noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8540484915710987134.post-48185204635658353852010-02-25T00:17:47.841-08:002010-02-25T00:17:47.841-08:00I have always loved the idea of stopping time. Mostly this is because I am lazy and I would use that power to sleep in and get extra naps and pull people's pants down when they're frozen.

Vollman, can you tell us more about how that worked in that Collector episode? When he froze time what happened to him? Would people see him frozen or would he just cease to exist until he unfroze himself? It's an interesting idea and I'd like to better wrap my head around it.Matsbyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14075673733386181090noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8540484915710987134.post-19824071986174488042010-02-22T12:39:02.339-08:002010-02-22T12:39:02.339-08:00There was an episode of "The Collector" ...There was an episode of "The Collector" where a character had a time-stopping device.

The premise of the show is that the main character is someone who collects the souls of those who have made deals with the devil.

This one episode featured a man who traded his soul for a stopwatch that would stop time - but only for him. Time continued to progress around him. So, in essence, he could live centuries by simply pausing his own passage through time.

Would you rather have that device instead?

P.S. "The Collector" is a Canadian show, just like Rush is a Canadian band. Canada's obviously far more advanced in time travel technology.Robert Vollmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08275044623767553681noreply@blogger.com
